Open Water Swims available at Great River and Heckscher State Park
Great River, Connetquot Swims start in May 2024!
7-8 AM in the Connetquot River. All groups, swim levels, and ages welcome.

Connetquot Great River Swims take place at Timber Point Park. 7-8 AM in the Connetquot River. Take Great River Rd to the end make the last left on the dirt road just before the golf course. You can google, Great River Rd, Oakdale, NY 11769 or Timber Point Golf course for directions.
Bring water shoes - bottom is a little rocky. The river swim location doesn't have restrooms. Bring warm water to rinse off afterwards.
Heckscher Swims start beginning of July and will run every Saturday, starting July 1st through August!
We meet at Heckscher Field 6 - Bathrooms and Showers available.
Arrive at 6:30am, Swim starts at 6:45am
Drop in Fee is $25, payment due upon arrival.
We swim laps around two buoys approx. 400-800 yard loops. You can also expect lots of laughs and an awesome group of people!

Water Polo will kick off July 8th!
OWS will run Water Polo at Byron Lake Pool every Monday. Water Polo is open to adults and children - and is one of the best, most fun workouts!

Water Polo is a great sport to help improve swimming, endurance and build strength for all major team sports, such as, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, hockey, and many others. Several professional water polo coaches will teach kids how to play including techniques, the rules and actual game play. They are guaranteed to have a blast!
