“Started biking to lose weight, and 65lbs later, I entered my first triathlon in august of 2010. I wanted to do my first Half ironman in October of 2011.. I I practiced swimming on my own for 2011, and said I was ready… well, almost an hour into my first half iron distance swim, of 1.2mi I realized how wrong I was. I came to Bryan Krut, and OWS knowing how to, as I like to call it, “not drown”! I started slow, and went over the basics day in and day out. I swam with him twice a week from November 2011, and continue with him today. To say that my improvement was drastic would be a mild understatement. From that first 1.2 mile swim in October of 2011, @ 52:17, to the next half iron in May of 2012… barely 7 months, with the holidays in between… 10 mins faster. Florida was, with no wet suit, and an “M” shaped swim, was 42:25. That is HUGE! But still not the end! In September of this year, barely 1 year after my first half iron swim… Last race of the season… Mighty Montauk Half… 1.42 miles, that is almost a quarter mile longer… 37:52. That is an improvement of 15 minutes from last year. Bryan and OWS changed me from a not drowner, to a competitive swimmer! I used to consider my swim to be the worst of the 3 aspects of racing triathlon, now I am a well balanced, equally capable athlete! Combined with Tri-Global triathlon coaching, where coach, and elite athlete Anthony Snoble train me in the other areas of tri racing, including transitions, running, and riding, as well as race day nutrition, They have taken me from finisher… to top 10 overall competitor. And both Bryan, and Anthony have become some what of a life coach. After qualifying for the World Championships in the Ironman 70.3 racing series… There is no doubt in my mind that the lions share of the credit goes to these two guys, and their amazing approach to coaching that got me across the line! Thank you Coach Bryan, and Coach Anthony! If it weren’t for you guys.. I’d be floating along in the sound still!”
